Vision Systems integrate smoke detection with security

Compliant with BS8418 standard, ADPRO FastTrace multi-site video security system features zone isolation capability, PTZ presets, arming/disarming function, secure video transmission, and alarm verification. SitePulse feature works over existing IP lines to continuously watch alarm status. VESDA LaserFOCUS 500 provides smoke detection for business-critical spaces of less than 5,000 ft[sup.2]. Both products include 10MAX voice evacuation system controller.

Visitors to this year's IFSEC and FIREX exhibitions - held at Birmingham's NEC from 16th to 19th May - can truly experience Vision Systems' new innovative integrated solutions for smoke detection or video security with voice activated alarm. A stand at each exhibition will ensure that all visitors gain insight into how Vision is leading the market and setting a future precedent with its integrated approach to providing the most effective fire and security protection available.

Exhibition attendees visiting Vision's large IFSEC stand (K95) will have the opportunity to view Vision's ADPRO FastTrace in action. ADPRO FastTrace, the highly successful multi-site video security system for secure, cost-effective and reliable video transmission and alarm verification, just got even better with its latest release, launched in March. Numerous extra benefits and functions have been added to the product, further underlining its total compliance with the rigorous new BS8418 standard, the first British standard to cover installation and remote monitoring of activated CCTV systems.

For instance, ADPRO FastTrace now includes Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) presets on alarm, for even more focused and cost-effective monitoring; a 'SitePulse' feature that works over existing IP lines to continuously watch the alarm status; an Arming/Disarming function to ensure that all activity is clearly visible both locally and from the remote monitoring centre; and the addition of Zone isolation, which isolates detectors in the event of any on-site problems.

Vision Systems has already seen a significant increase in the demand for remotely monitored CCTV since the BS8418 standard was introduced last year, and following the latest enhancements to ADPRO FastTrace, demand is likely to soar even higher. As IFSEC delegates will see and hear through demonstration, when the product is integrated with Millbank voice response capability, the most advanced, strongest and dynamic security solution becomes created.

Within the International Fire Expo (FIREX) exhibition hall, attendees can learn more about how VESDA Aspirating Smoke Detection continues to offer the earliest possible and most reliable warning of smoke (stand L20). Not only will the latest addition to the VESDA family be exhibited - the VESDA LaserFOCUS 500, which provides detection for small, business-critical spaces of less than 500 m2 (5000 sq ft) - but Vision's new bespoke modelling innovation will also be demonstrated. Using performance-based design, Vision can prove, via software verification, how VESDA detection will work in a specific location.

As with ADPRO, stand visitors will see the enhanced benefits of VESDA when it is complemented with Millbank voice response products. For instance, attendees can see the advantages of zoned voice massaging, which enables messages to be localised to a specific building area, thus allowing, for example, a phased and safe evacuation. Millbank products on display will include the recently-launched 10MAX voice evacuation system controller (which is intended for use in systems with up to 10zones and up to 10 prioritised input sources, and builds on the success of the smaller 4MAX) and Millbank's core VxLAN digital voice network.

With its advanced monitoring, complete solutions, and ability to genuinely demonstrate the effectiveness of its products in specific applications, Vision will show this year's IFSEC and FIREX visitors how its evolving products and services represent the next generation of security and fire protection solutions.
